Just Keeping Busy

Besides Mick's work, he has had his HC assignment changed and is now over the Family Indexing for our stake. He has been giving firesides and teaching people how to do this.

Besides teaching some classes on machine embroidery, I have been busy sewing away. I have completed Wedding Quilt #2.

Below is the quilt I have completed for an antique bed we have at home. Technically, this bed belongs to Allison, but for now it resides at our home. I guess the quilt will have to go with the bed when it returns to lives at Allison's. It is done with 1930's reproduction fabrics.

The guild here does a block of the month. The neat thing about the way it is done here, is that you keep your block and sew it into this. I will eventually incorporate this into one of my Wedding Quilts. To do the applique for this quilt, I digitized it in my embroidery software and then used my embroidery module to complete it.

This project is not complete. It is from a class I took through my guild learning how to do stained glass quilting.

This is one of my favorite projects. It is a machine embroidered quilt done on a silky polyester. My friend Evelyn did the stippling. I don't have enough of the pink fabric with me here to do the binding, so I will have to complete it this summer while I am home.

I'm okay with the quilt staying with the bed. =) It's beautiful. I'm looking forward to our quilting lessons again when you come back.
